அதன் தொடர்ச்சியாக சந்திப்பு நிகழச்சி ஏற்பாடு செய்யப்பட்டது. டல்லஸ் நகருக்கு அருகில் இருக்கும் ப்லேனோவில் கடந்த [ 25-05-2014 ] அன்று முதல்நாள் சந்திப்பு நிகழ்ச்சி நடைபெற்றது. இதில் 200 க்கும் மேற்பட்டவர்கள் ஆர்வத்துடன் கலந்துகொண்டு சிறப்பித்தனர். சந்திப்பின் இரண்டாம் நாள் நிகழ்ச்சி நேற்று நடைபெற்றது. இதில் 250 க்கும் மேற்பட்டவர்கள் கலந்துகொண்டார்கள். தொடர்ந்து நல்ல வரவேற்பை பெற்று வரும் இந்த முயற்சியை பிற மாநிலங்களிலும் விரிவுபடுத்தவும், தேசிய அளவில் மாநாடு ஒன்றை நடத்துவது என்றும் இதன் அமைப்பினர் உத்தேசித்துள்ளனர்.
இதில் இணைய http://www.americantamilmuslims.org/ என்ற இணையதளத்தில் பதிவு செய்துகொள்ள அன்புடன் கேட்டுக்கொள்ளபடுகிறது.

சந்திப்பின் நோக்கம் என்ன, உங்கள் சந்திப்பினால் நீங்கள் பிறந்த ஊருக்கு என்ன பிரயோஜனம். காலத்தை வீணாக்காது ஆக்கபூர்வமான சந்திப்பாக இருக்கணும்.

DeleteIn state of Texas, USA, there are around 70+ Tamil families in Dallas and another 40+ in Houston and few in Austin and so on. We all are scattered and didn't have any platform to meet and unite and achieve some common goals.
Here were the agenda in the meeting.
1. Introduction about the meeting and the purpose.
2. Br Riyaz Lareef from Udangudi gave a religious point of being united and importance of community.
3. Few brothers from Houston introduced new website www.AmericanTamilMuslims.org, current goal is to register members.
4. There was a brainstorming work shop on what are the immediate goals and need of ATM (American Tamil Muslims)
5. Kids Islamic Performance and so on.
So ultimate goal is to unite and identify different Tamil Muslims living in Texas and in USA at large, once this is established or while in progress, we can collect funds and implement educational and medical projects in India. Matrimonial services, job support and so on.
Being in west and keeping Islamic identity and our back home culture is not a easy task. Meeting like this will help bridge those gaps, Insha-Allah. Keep us in your duas.

ReplyDeleteWelcome. When I had been there , I was longing to have such an organization to help each other. Particularly, most of our Tamil Muslims were searching for job. I could help them (mahsa Allah). But, like this organized structure can do better than single hand. Well done.
